Thursday, 29th April - 5H Swanage

Much better weather than expected. The air is damp but that doesn't stop the peacock showing off his beautiful tail to Class 5H. The treasure hunt on Brownsea Island was a great sucess. 3 groups looking for treasure. The Blue Beards Gang - Pirates of Brownsea Island and - The Walk the Plankers. I expect you are wondering which group your child is in? Not long before they are back and you can ask them! They will be setting off for 1.30pm and we will blog when we receive updates on the journey's progress back to Twickenham.

Thursday, 30th April - 5H in Swanage

Just heard from Mr Smith that everybody slept well and ate well. Today the weather is not as sunny so slightly cooler with a 'fresh'wind. 5H are taking a walk through the town to see the historical points of interest. They are all looking forward to going to Brownsea Island later on.

Wednesday, 29th April - 5H Swanage

Just heard from a very pleased Mr Smith - Children on the beach having a great time. Corfe Castle was great. Elizabeth the guide at Corfe Castle has been doing tours for years and she always looks in the book for Trafalgar's name and says - "I'll take them". She always likes Trafalgar Junior School because the children are well behaved and are such nice children!

Tuesday,29th April - 5H in Swanage

Lucky 5H! Another sunny day with a fresh wind. All slept well. Blythe did most of the walk yesterday and is taking part in every activity. They all had a good tour of the nature reserve at Studland Bay and learnt about sand dunes.

5H Swanage Tuesday 28th April

Sun shining! Clear blue sky, not too hot, perfect walking weather.


Went to beach yesterday evening, played football, dug in the sand and did 'beachy' things.

Everyone up this morning and raring to go, had breakfast and setting off on our 7

mile walk.

Completed half a mile and everyone still positive! Sea sparkling blue.

Phew! All completed the seven mile walk no problem, all fit and well, still!!

The weather has been dry all day, perfect. Lovely picnic on Ballard Down and views of Old Harry Rocks.

Now on the beach doing a beach treasure hunt.

5H Swanage Monday 27th April

Have all arrived safe and sound!! Rained all the way down and stopped as soon as we reached the hotel!!

Everyone happy with rooms and have left our luggage at the hotel.

We are now in Durlston Country Park having lunch. Sky is looking brighter all the time.

We are going to a talk by the park warden then off on our walks.

Everyone well and happy!

Sun is out!!

Setting off on our walk around the cliffs and down into Swanage.

Please make sure all medication, pocket money and letters are in school on Friday so they can be packed away before monday!
